Filing an appeal after taking the TEF

Logo TEFLe français des affaires and its authorised centres do everything in their power to ensure that the TEF tests are taken under the best possible conditions and that all candidates are treated fairly.

Despite these precautions, are you concerned about the manner in which the session was organized? Do you have any questions after receiving your results? In the first instance, please contact your testing centre.

However, if you experienced a serious problem or an anomaly while taking your test, you may exceptionally, and only under these circumstances, file an appeal.

Candidates may file an appeal within a maximum of 30 days from the date on which the statement of results was issued.

In order to do it, you must log into your User Account.

To log in, you must enter the email address that you used to register for the test. Then, click on “Recevoir mon mot de passe de connexion” to receive your password.

Please note:

  • Requests will be handled by Le français des affaires which will check on the testing conditions and examine the legitimacy of appeals by contacting the testing centre and listening to recordings of the examination of oral expression.
  • If Le français des affaires finds that an anomaly or a serious problem has occurred, the results will not be altered but the candidate will be given an opportunity to retake the relevant section(s) of the test, at no charge.

  • If you go further with the procedure and accept to retake the test, all you previous scores will be definitely cancelled, regardless of your new results.
